From working in a team to solo

Usually I work within a team of other developers guided by managers in the company I am hired. But right now I do entire project on my own. I started it out of bordomness and I continue it in order to give a benefit for people. Simple and free of charge app.

I noticed that the process goes faster than in typical work. So far I do not need to communicate with other people so there is no need to create a plan and list of tasks. I do everything on the go as I remember things in my head. Probably I will reach a stage to use a tool with writing tasks as people do in Trello, Jira or Asana boards. Any recommendations?

I started writing the code locally but today I noticed that I miss version control. It is good to test and move back if something so I setup Github repository today. I keep it private because I didn’t decide yet if I want it to be open source or not.

Technically I am very good in Javascript, writing a lot in React.Js but for this project I use React Native which is really comfortable for me to write. For viewing my app I use Expo which is satisfying at this stage of development

Since my app will be powered with AI, I bought access to OpenAi. It is so exciting! I also played today with basic styling and some UX.

I always thought I should organise entire project with all boards, logs, ideas, etc. But to be honest it takes a lot of time just for this administration part and I simply grasp a time when I can while baby doesn’t call me. So.. my goal is to be done by September this year. A lot of work ahead of me and definitely good potential for further development of the app. Will I stick to it? I have some faith in this blog to keep me being motivated.
